Dial up, boredom and Two-Mix
Boy, I wish I'd thought to bring my stuff to sew.

I have my cross-stitch but, for me, cross-stitching is usually something you do *while* you do something else, not just something you do. I wish I had some video games to play, but I was stupid and didn't bring my PS2 here. You'd think I'd remember that I was packing to stay for THREE WHOLE DAYS in Austin, and that there's nothing to do here unless I bother someone to drive me someplace, and even then, there's no one there my age to hang out with. I don't even think Scott is in town, though I might call later and find out.

So I've just been on the computer for forEVER the past two days. Looks like I won't be able to plug it into the car and type on the way, even though there's totally a plug for that, unless the stepfather recants AND $80 bucks for the charger mysteriously appears. The adapters are *expensive*. I guess they figure that the only people who need them are bigwig executives who have the cash to lay down for something like that. So no typing for me. No DVD movies. Nothing to do once the sun goes down. And two more long days, and a long car trip ahead of me.

Blah.

I am, however, getting plenty of time to catch up in both things I've been wanting to read, both online and off, and sleep I've been meaning to get. I'll probably go take a nap in a little while, though I hate to take naps on Sunday. I always wake up feeling more tired than when I laid down.

I'm also slowly starting to re-make a video game I made a while back with this nifty thing called RPG Maker. I doubt I'll be able to post it to the blog or anything, cause it can get pretty big, and I'll be on dial up for most of the rest of the break. But I'll let you know on the status of that as I go. Right now, I'm almost finished with the opening sequence in the woods. Which tells you nothing. ^_^.

Oh yeah, I thought I was done, but I haven't talked about Two-Mix yet, have I? Two-Mix does some of the music for Gundam Wing, and I'm singing a very, very slow version of one of their songs for the karaoke event at Ushi-con. So I've been practicing. Mom wants to make a recording of me and send it to a japanese friend of hers who's a CHOIR TEACHER. I panicked. LOL!

Anyhoo, that's all for right now-- there might be more later tonight!

Linkage
Oh yeah!

I didn't want to write out what each and every link was, but I thought you might want to know.

Pixels of Evil- Minda-roth's site. Full of Minda-y goodness.

Casual Villain- GlassShard's AWESOME site. The art here is just fabulous.

Sharteshane- The setting in which I RP now. It's already home!

Shards- The server or whatever that Sharteshane is a part of. It's where I go to play.

That's all, just wanted to get that up here. Whenever I post new links, I'll post descriptions as well... usually, at least.

Tah-Dah!
Alright, here's my new blog in my new blogging spot. I think that I should be able to actually psuedo keep up with this one, because I don't have to remember another name, or sign in someplace else-- I can just log into Tripod! It makes me happy! ::grins:: I'm just using one of their generic templates for now, but I hope to have something more original soon!

Anyhoo, let's see... I always have plenty to write about until I sit down to write these things...
I opened all of my Christmas presents from Mom today, because today was the day that she came down. I've been attacked by penguins, but it's all good-- they are very cute. And I got what has got to be the coolest ornament ever. I'm not even sure if I can describe it. It's a deluxe, super-duper Phantom of the Opera ornament that plays ACTUAL voices from the show, and lights up in cool ways. It's like a little mini-production!

I found out that I'm going to be spending my Christmas holidays a lot more in San Marcos than I thought. I don't really have a problem with that, I guess, but I'm a little unsettled by the sudden change in plans. Oh well, whatever happens, happens. It'll be an adventure, right?
I went shopping in Fredricksburg today, which is this little old town with lots of fun shops up and down it's main street. Very fun, but tiring. Luckily, I have a day to study before my Japanese final, or I'd be screwed.
Hrmm... I also got some patterns to start stuff for Petit Kawaii, which Annie and Minda and I are working on over the break. Hopefully by the end of break, we'll have a running website and be able to take orders and such. I'm starting to have some doubts about my ability to truly help with anything but the sewing portion of the project-- I just don't have a head for what makes a good Gothic Lolita outfit. Still, I can make bags until I fall over, and I've got a nice kimono pattern that I could make something nice out of, I'm sure. I'm also a cosplaying fool, and I'm sure there's some people who'll be comming there for that as well... I hope. I want so bad to pull my weight, but I just can't see it in the patterns sometimes. I don't seem to get what makes something G/L. But I can sew, darnit, and I'm gonna!

I think that's it, really.
