About "...Doomed to Repeat It"

Well... here I am. The path leading up to this story was an odd one. First of all, you must understand that I wrote "Things..." as a stand alone story, and I wrote "...Doomed" as a stand alone story as well. However, after both were written, I decided that really all I would have to do would be to throw in Luc, and "...Doomed" could be a great sequel. Now you must also understand that I usually don't like sequels. Series (when they are written to be that) are just fine, but complete stand-alone story sequels are not really my thing, unless they are novel length. (ie- Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality) For one thing, the second is never as good as the first.
In this case, however, I had to make an exception. I really like this one better than "Things...". Perhaps this is just my own opinion, perhaps others may feel that way as well, I don't know. If you read both, why not drop me a line and tell me!
For those of you who have read "Things..." and would like to know a little more about the story: "Doomed" takes place a little over two years after the end of the game. The people of Midgar have rebuilt over the ruins. They call their new place Neo-Midgar. But where there's good, there's always evil. An underground Neo-ShinRa has risen as well, with all of it's surviving old members. It's headquaters are no longer in Midgar, but it's scientific department still is, hidden in the rubble just outside of Neo-Midgar.

Just for your information:
"...Doomed" takes place in the same twisted timeline as "Things.." and if you don't like it, you can suck eggs.

The play that Jenny refers to where the woman kills her husband is real. It's called "Machinal" (pronounced MAH-sheen-nahl) and it's by Sophia Treadwell. I wrote most of this story backstage while working on it. I suggest you go out and search for a copy. It's *very* good.
